This violin bow was made in the Klier workshop located in Bubenreuth, Germany. The Klier family has been making violins since 1887 with Johann Klier who set up his own workshop in Schönbach, Egerland. Johann passed away in 1918 & the workshop was passed to his eldest son, Otto Josef Klier. The Klier workshop have a wide range of products from good-quality student-intermediate options to more advanced instruments & bows. All instruments & bows are unique & of a very high standard, crafted by skilled makers with naturally aged timber.

This violin bow is stamped ‘Otto Jos. Klier’ & weighs 61.5 grams. This stick has been rounded & is made from pernambucco. It measures 745mm in length & has silver wire lapping. It has an ebony frog & is nickel-silver mounted with a mother of pearl Parisian eye. This bow has a three-part button with two parts silver & one-part ebony. 

This violin bow has a strong stick & a beautifully resonant sound. It is well-balanced & has a good level of control. This bow would be suitable for intermediate to early advanced level players.
