The OFL1158S flute is the step-up level flute from our popular 1152S student model. The 1158S incorporates open hole keys for extended techniques and opens up a range of possibilities for the modern repertoire. The responsive and resonant tone of the silver plated nickel body flute provides a smooth and easy playing experience.

 Extended Possibilities

The OFL1158S comes with five nylon key plugs to convert your open hole into a closed hole flute. This gives flautist's the opportunity to transition into playing open hole techniques.

Pointed & French Keys

Bb, F# and other non-fingered keys feature pointed key arms. This beautiful key design is inspired by traditional European style and other high-end flutes.

 

All Silver Plated Body Construction

All silver plated body enhances the look of the flute and reduces the likelihood of the finger contact points turning 'cloudy.'  It also provides the ability to produce a higher tonal quality when played.

 

 Other Features

  • Open hole keys to accommodate extended techniques and more versatility when playing
  • The 1158S features an offset G key, promoting a shift of the left ring finger outwards, providing a 'natural' position for an easier, more comfortable playing.
  • Split E key system helps players with reaching higher octaves, improving accuracy and ease when playing the third register E.
