Alfred's Basic Adult All in One Piano Course

A book for the beginner to be used with or without a piano teacher. For adults who prefer a chord approach. The lessons work with both hands from the beginning. At the completion of this course, the student will have learned to play some of the most popular music ever written and will have gained a good understanding of basic musical concepts and styles.

It is a good introductory book to expose you to the basics of theory. It has lesson pages to build on the theory presented and exercises to increase the comfort level.
