MAHOGANY TONEWOOD
Mahogany is mainly used in the acoustic world, for the back and sides. It is the most commonly used hardwood because it's durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant. It's not just the reliability that makes it so widely used though; there are also the tonal properties. It's warm and mellow, providing excellent low frequencies, pronounced lower-mids, yet appealing, high ends. The result is a balanced tone with crisp and strong fundamentals.
This Ohana Baritone Ukulele is an all-solid build, meaning the top, back, and sides are all solid Mahogany tonewood. Solid-built instruments allow the warmth of Mahogany to really project and come through.
The baritone is fitted with quality Grover geared tuners for easy reliable accurate tuning. Ohana has chosen a classic wood binding as well as a high gloss finish.
