The ORION OGP183 Grand Piano is the classic full-size grand model in the ORION piano series, built to professional pianists' standards and the ORION's strict quality control to offer the best playing experience for any pianists looking for their first classic grand piano.
Designed and engineered by a team of professional piano craftsmen from Hamamatsu, Japan, we reached out to collaborate our vision and their experience. With expert touch embedded in the Grand Acoustic, we used some of the highest quality materials in our piano. Featuring specially selected German Röslau strings, select solid spruce soundboard with contoured ribs, and Japanese designed Extruded Aluminium Action rail suited to our piano's 'touch'. Along with a team of performing pianists, the pianos are tuned to carry an astounding tonal clarity which translates the pianist's articulations with its responsive touch, similar to the actions of any seasoned grand piano.
The larger body of this 183cm grand piano allows for a colourful and dynamic expression in playing and unlimited clarity in tone and enjoyment.
All ORION pianos are strictly monitored and aged in a temperature adjusted room to condition the pianos to the Australian climate in order to ensure the optimum performance capabilities*.
BRITISH EXAMINATION & PERFORMING STANDARDS
The ORION Pianos are used for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations, for pianists sitting for the Grade 1 examinations through to Grade 8 as well as piano accompanists for other instrumental examinations.
ORION Pianos are also available in practice studios and performing stage to allow pianists and teachers to hire in preparation for competitions, examinations and performances all year around.

Towards the end of the process, all the pianos are conditioned by machines in a temperature controlled room to speed up the "settling" process of the piano.
