The ORION ODB100 is offered as an intermediate bass for advancing players. The ORION ODB100 is a full solid handmade double bass, uses select maple and solid spruce that are naturally dried for improved sound and stability in the timber. Hand-crafted by professional craftsperson with extra care and precision. Ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, also features genuine inlaid purfling.
Available to order: 1/4 size (special order), 1/2 size (special order) and 3/4 size.
The ODB100 has been professionally setup by a luthier prior to sale. This improves tonality, durability, and playability of the bass.
Crescendo’s professional String Instrument Setup includes:
- shaping the fingerboard and nut to professional curvature
- carving and fitting the bridge to the instrument
- shaping and fitting pegs
- upgrading strings with quality studio steel strings
- fitting and adjusting the soundpost
