The Orion OVL900 is a beautifully crafted, custom-commissioned violin, made in 2015 in collaboration with a member of our string team. Built in a 7/8 size configuration, it is ideal for violinists seeking a slightly smaller alternative to a full-size (4/4) instrument without compromising on tonal performance.
Constructed from high-grade spruce and maple, the OVL900 delivers a strong, projecting tone with excellent clarity and warmth.
This instrument features premium rosewood fittings with a single E fine tuner, and showcases a stunning one-piece flamed maple back. Its lightly antiqued finish is achieved through a combination of traditional oil varnish techniques, finished with a refined spirit varnish topcoat.
Handmade in 2015 by award-winning luthiers in a professional workshop, the OVL900 reflects a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Well suited to intermediate and advancing players (approximately Grade 5–8 level), this violin offers outstanding tonal quality, responsiveness, and playability.
