The ORION OCL1480S Clarinet is the intermediate lineup from our best selling '1250N Composite body clarinet. The intermediate level '1480S model is enjoyed by clarinetist at the intermediate stage as well as the advanced level!
The Body
The 1480S body brings real natural African Ebony properties to play, endowed with rich harmony and exceptionally full timbre. Our ebony are naturally dried for over twenty years to ensure stability, and to pass our quality check.
The clarinet is paired with two sets of barrels to provide the player with performing options. Our teacher's favourite 'Fatboy' style Ebony barrel provides a free blowing style with less resistance. This barrel is for the modern players to interpret a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary, to jazz, and more.
Other Key Features
The OCL1480S clarinet also encompasses silver plated keys, with the key feature being our improved blue needle springs. These springs are machine pointed and heat treated to be very rigid yet not brittle. The outcome from this is a faster, cleaner, and snappier feel to the keywork of the instrument. Reinforced with an additional retaining screw for a durable keywork.
Leather pads are used for durability as well as a superior tone. Adjustable thumb rest feature. Comes in a classic style wooden carry case.
