P Mauriat PMXA-67RX Alto Saxophone

The PMXA67R Alto Saxophone delivers a dark, ringing tone shaped by its enlarged body tube flare, oversized bell, and signature rolled tone holes. Known for its extremely free-blowing feel and broad dynamic range, this model offers resistance-free response in the low register and effortless access to the altissimo, giving players exceptional tonal, dynamic, and timbral flexibility. A hand-engraved bell and a variety of available finishes add to its professional appeal.

Like all P. Mauriat Rolled Tone Hole models, the PMXA 67R uses a unique rolling process in which the tone holes are drawn from the body and then rolled over - no soldering involved. This method enhances resonance across the entire horn, improves response in every register, and pairs beautifully with the enlarged bell to create the PMXA-67R’s signature warm, fat sound.
