X4 Series
An extremely musical, functional and durable guitar, the X4 is built with a carbon fiber top, back and sides, radius fretboard, and elevated neck, The carbon fiber material enhances the bass and gives it a more powerful tone. It also comes with the AcousticPlus technology which can naturally enhance the sound and resonance giving the guitar the effects of reverb, delay and chorus. Whether playing with a plectrum or fingerstyle this guitar has a phenomenal sound.
Carbon Fiber Soundboards
Research and development of carbon fiber as an acoustic material began quickly in the early 2000's and was predicted to overtake the use of woods as soundboards for stringed instruments. For guitars, carbon fiber’s durability, sound, consistency, and weight make it an attractive option. Not only is the material tougher to dent, scratch, or crack than wood, it’s also resistant to changes in temperature or humidity. You wouldn’t have to worry about your carbon fiber guitar as much when going camping with it, taking it on planes as a carry on, or going over to your friend’s place to jam.
Richlite - Fingerboards of the Future
Originally developed over 70 years ago, Richlite has proven to be incredibly durable, extremely versatile and a highly sustainable material to use for fingerboards. After two decades of research and discussions with guitarists, Gibson determined that Richlite was not only the best alternative to woods like ebony, but was actually superior. It is also scratch, heat, and stain-resistant, and has better stability and tonal qualities. Many guitar players feel strings bend more smoothly on a Richlite fingerboard.
AcousticPlus Preamp
Each Enya AcousticPlus instrument has a built-in actuator. This device takes the string vibrations and enhances them to create chorus, delay and reverb effects from the instrument itself, with no external effects or amplification required, providing a simple but effective way to process the natural sound. The patented AcousticPlus system covers all the features of an acoustic-electric instrument including being able to plug into an amplifier or other external devices. The same knobs control the output effects.
