The Orion 1500 Series is a refined F/B♭ double French horn developed for advancing students and experienced ensemble players seeking greater responsiveness, tonal depth and control.
Its full double-horn design combines the broad, warm character of the F horn with the increased accuracy and security of the B♭ side. Players can move between the two using the thumb-operated change valve, providing greater flexibility throughout the instrument’s range - particularly in demanding upper-register and technical passages.
Four precision rotary valves provide smooth, reliable operation and support clean transitions between notes. The horn is designed to deliver an even response across registers, with a warm and resonant lower range, a centered middle register and a focused upper register that projects clearly in ensemble settings.
