Carbon Fiber Soundboards
Research and development of carbon fiber as an acoustic material began quickly in the early 2000's and was predicted to overtake the use of woods as soundboards for stringed instruments. Not only is the material tougher to dent, scratch, or crack than wood, it’s also resistant to changes in temperature or humidity. You wouldn’t have to worry about your carbon fiber guitar as much when going camping with it, taking it on planes as a carry on, or going over to your friend’s place to jam.

AcousticPlus Preamp
Each Enya AcousticPlus instrument has a built-in actuator. This device takes the string vibrations and enhances them to create chorus, delay and reverb effects from the instrument itself, with no external effects or amplification required, providing a simple but effective way to process the natural sound. The patented AcousticPlus system covers all the features of an acoustic-electric instrument including being able to plug into an amplifier or other external devices. The same knobs control the output effects. The version with this guitar has a tuner built-in as well.
