HiGloss Mercury
The Mercury body is a short-scale parlour model, with narrow bouts and hips. The HiGloss mercury's neck meets at the 12th fret, rather than the 14th. Another implication of the 12th fret join is that the bridge is shifted further from the soundhole. The string tension is slightly softer than the other Faith models.
As a result, the Mercury body is not physically bulky, which is the ideal size for smaller size guitarists, or for a comfortable fit for the ladies' body. The soundhole-bridge compensation and wood combination creates a much bigger sound than you would imagine. It is also simple to handle and transport.
On this Mercury HiGloss you will find both visual and aural beauty. Using select high grade Englemann Spruce top and highly-figured Rosewood back and sides, it brings a generally bright and 'zingy' tone. This combination is a suitable choice, especially since the parlour body has a small acoustic room to resonate.
Visualising this as a frequency curve, it would be shaped like a smile: high on the bass, dipping down through the middle and rising once again at the top end, lending itself to fingerstyle and solo pieces in particular.
The Mercury HiGloss feature a durable, dark Macassan Ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, headplate and heelcap. Instead of the traditional cutaway where a large part of the Mercury body would be removed, Faith chose the scalloped cutaway which only takes away the edge, then rounded off for a smooth and comfortable touch for the wrist and palm.

This Blood Moon Venus is fitted with quality Fishman INK3 preamp system with the Sonicore piezo pickup located under the saddle. The preamp is low-profile and features a 3 band EQ, volume, and chromatic tuner.
