The ORION OVL1100 is handmade by a high-level luthier in the ORION workshop in Beijing. This model is handcrafted with great attention to detail; from selecting the highest grade European spruce and maple that has been dried for over 10 years, hand-planing the plates to an accurate thickness, and hand varnished and antiqued. The OVL1100 is hand selected by our musicians, tested and trialed on-site in their award winning workshop before they are delivered to Australia.
The 1100 offers a focused, rich and mature sonority. The select maple and spruce that is naturally dried significantly improves the tonality of this instrument. This creates a full and lasting resonance with each stroke of the bow.
The OVL1100 has been inspected by our master-luthier in Perth:
