Kanile'a 'Ukulele is a renowned brand based in Hawai'i, celebrated for its high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs. Founded in 1998 by Joe and Kristen Souza, the company is dedicated to producing top-tier instruments with a focus on traditional Hawaiian aesthetics and modern advancements.

KPA Series (Koa Pāua Abalone)

This `ukulele features a premium-grade solid Hawaiian Koa body with tropical Mahogany neck and Ebony fretboard, bridge, and head plate. In addition, it comes with Kanile’a’s renowned TRU-R (Total Resonating `Ukulele-Redesigned) bracing system. This touch-release-touch setup guarantees an increased vibration and resonance while properly supporting and strengthening the integrity of the instrument’s body. It is completed with a UV-cured high-gloss body and UV silk satin neck finish.

As an exquisite design detail, you’ll find a thick rosette made of pāua (large, edible mollusks found in the New Zealand ocean) set on curly Koa. This showcases the combination of two Polynesian cultures, Māori and Hawaiians. This colorful Abalone shell perfectly captures the colors of the ocean and the movement and radiance of the moving waves.
