ORION Bow and String instruments are crafted in an award-winning workshop, making high quality beginner to advanced musician's instrument. The 50 years of woodworking and luthiery skills represent the current ORION instrument and bow range. With guidance and assistance from Liu Yang, the master bow maker himself, the bows are meticulously crafted in accordance to his standards. Liu is currently only producing professional level violins, cellos, and bows.
The OCB200 ORION cello bow is a 2024 new bow design, lapping style and all nickel screw. This has been made from a higher graded quality Pernambuco wood for the stick. Only the high-quality sticks are selected and used improving the overall vibrational properties and response. Made with unbleached mongolian horsehair providing good grip for playing. The frog is made from pure ebony & is silver mounted with a mother of pearl Parisian eye. Pure silver windings to match the higher grade timber.
