Interesting fact 1 : Haydn held the position of Kapellmeister at the Esterházy court, altogether employed at the court for more than thirty years. After moving back to Vienna to compose independently, the income and savings he had as well as with the royalties from his published compositions allowed Haydn the financial security for the remainder of his days.

Interesting fact 2 : Haydn was good friends with Mozart, he also taught young Beethoven for a short period of time.
